Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for locating and retrieving your Client Key and Client Secret from the Transaction Manager. These IDs are crucial for setting up and managing the following integrations:

  • Tokenization
  • Transactions Export API
  • Customers API

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to the Transaction Manager with valid login credentials.
  • If you do not have login credentials for the Transaction Manager, please email the support team hipline@hipfinity.co to request access.

Retrieving Client Key and Client Secret

Step 1: Log in to the Transaction Manager

  • Navigate to the Transaction Manager login page.
  • Enter your username and password in the respective fields.
  • Click the “Login” button to access your dashboard.
  • Upon successful login, the merchant homepage will display, presenting various merchant-related information.

Step 2: Navigate to API Credentials

  • Go to the My Account -> API Credentials section via the main menu.

Note: If you do not see My Account or APIs Credentials in the main menu of Transaction Manager, please email the support team hipline@hipfinity.co to request access.

Step 3: Access the Client Key and Client Secret

  • You will see the list of available Client Keys and Client Secrets along with API Credentials Name, Role Status, Activation Date, and Time.
  • To give permission, click Permissions. You will see a new window with all the available permissions. After selecting the permissions, click “Update“.

Note: The Client Key and Client Secret pair is sensitive information used to authenticate and secure your transactions.

Step 4: Generate Client Key and Secret

  • Click “Add” to create a new Client Key and Client Secret.
  • Provide the API Credentials Name, select the relevant API Credentials Role from the dropdown, and click “Generate“, to generate the new Client Key and Secret pair.
  • The new Client Key and Client Secret pair is visible on the APIs permissions page.

Note: If you regenerate your Client Key and Client Secret pair, you must update this information in all your integration points to avoid service disruptions.
